Our Story

Open Air Markets - Columbia, SC - 1950s

In the 1950s, Columbia’s open-air markets were vibrant hubs where locals bought fresh produce, flowers, and plants directly from growers.

These markets provided a farm-to-table experience, with vendors offering seasonal goods, handcrafted items, and expert gardening advice.

For businesses like Wilson’s Nursery, starting as an open-air market meant becoming part of this rich tradition, building relationships with customers, and laying the foundation for generations to come.
